Krehbiel Hall

1301 Ohio Street | (785) 812-3715 | 50 men

Opened in 2008 as the newest men's Scholarship Hall, Krehbiel Hall was given in honor of Carl Krehbiel's parents, Floyd H. and Kathryn. The hall is a twin to Rieger Hall next door and is beautifully appointed with artwork from nationally known Kansas natives. It is the only scholarship hall on campus with its own antique snooker table, given by Carl Krehbiel. The hall is an 18,000 square foot, three-story building and can house 50 men in two-person rooms and four-person suites. It also features a quiet, energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling unit and was designed to blend in with the neighborhood's turn of the century homes. When the residents are not playing basketball on the attached court, the men of Krehbiel are a musical group and have hosted a Swing Dance, among other activities.
