In 1999 Lewis Hall underwent a transformation, creating more "suite-style" rooms. They are: a 2-person room with bath, a 2-person suite (which contains a living room area), and a 4-person suite option (which also contains a living room area). Residents sign a Participation Agreement and are involved in community service, leadership development, and/or diversity-related activities.

A walk-in closet, bathroom and shower, a wet bar, a living area and two-person bedroom. Each suite contains: two beds, two extra long twin mattresses, two desks, two desk chairs, trash cans, and venetian blinds. Each 2-person suite with bath also features an active cable and telephone connection, along with ethernet data connection capability.
