Jayhawker Towers

Toward the goal of helping families plan for college expenses, a 2-year contract option is available for residents who sign a housing contract in 2008. As a planning tool, this 2-year contract offers a stable foundation on which to help build a college budget.

Students in residence halls, scholarship halls, and the Jayhawker Towers have the option of selecting either a 1-year or 2-year contract. The 2-year rate will remain the same for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 academic years with its per year rate specified in red below.

2008-2009 Residence Hall Meal Cost Information · KU Cuisine

KU Cuisine is a required component of the residence hall room and board contract - a variety of plans to fit student lifestyles and schedules. Each student’s goal should be choosing and using exactly what they need for the year.

Half the total number of dining center meals, KU Cuisine cash on your KUID Card, and guest passes for each plan are available at the start of each semester and must be used before the end of the semester.

480 dining center meals/year – plus $220 in KU Cuisine cash on your KU Card, and 10 guest meal passes

390/280 Plan  ·  $3,088 ($3,160)
(default for residence hall students who do not select a plan)

Although each Jayhawker Towers apartment is equipped with a small kitchen, many Jayhawker Towers residents choose KU Cuisine as their optional meal plan.
